Training Unit
Who We Are
The Training Unit, under the umbrella of the Human Resources Department, was established to facilitate learning and development opportunities tailored to the organization’s needs.
This includes the development of bespoke in-service training solutions and coordinating specialized training programs locally, regionally, and globally for uniformed officers and support staff.
The unit also supports our partners in law enforcement throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The RTCIPF strategic objective number four emphasizes ‘Investing in Our People’. An investment that not only develops the skills and knowledge needed in the field of policing but also an investment that takes into consideration the nature of policing and the socio-emotional support that officers need to function in such a high-stress environment.
What We Do
One of the goals of the Training Unit is to support all persons in leadership roles within the RTCIPF to develop a workplace that respects all employees’ unique perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. This will indeed lead to improved team dynamics, a greater sense of belonging, and increased productivity.
The unit recognized that investing in our people is not exclusive to increasing opportunities for learning and development but also a focus on our employee well-being, job satisfaction, and integration into the organization.
