One man is dead following a vehicular accident along the Leeward Highway yesterday (May 01st) afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Jason Alexander Robinson of Dock Yard, Providenciales.
Initial police report stated at around 12 p.m., the Police Control Room received a call that a road accident had occurred.
Police investigations revealed that a silver Toyota Alteeza, driven by Mr. Robinson, was proceeding on the westbound lane along the Leeward Highway, near Fortis TCI, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with another vehicle.
The silver Alteeza crossed the median and collided with two other vehicles including a truck.
The victim was rushed to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where he was treated for several injuries sustained from the accident. Mr. Robinson died today (May 02) at 5:30 am.
The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force extend condolences to the family of Mr. Robinson.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit is continuing investigations.
