The Tactical Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is an armed unit that provided response to incidents involving firearms, the execution of high-risk warrants and high-risk vehicle stop, and to provide support to other law enforcement agencies during critical incidents.  

The main objective of the Tactical Unit is to protect life and property, to prevent crimes, to identify and arrest offenders, and to maintain public order. The officers in the unit undergo continuous and rigorous training to maintain their skills and readiness to handle any situation as effectively and safely as possible.  Our officers are trained in the de-escalation of incidents, and when necessary, apply the appropriate use of force techniques to address volatile situations. Their primary focus during such incidents is to bring about a peaceful resolution to every incident they address.
