On Monday, November 11, 2024, at approximately 4:03 p.m., officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) responded to a distress report at sea.
Preliminary information indicates that a 76-year-old female, who was part of a private tour, encountered difficulties while swimming. The female was pulled from the water, and CPR was administered.
Despite efforts, the female was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased by a Medical Doctor at 5:04 p.m.
The RT&CIPF extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with them as they cope with this tragic loss.
