Last evening, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle collision. 

Shortly after 10 pm on September 02nd, the Police Control Room received a report of an accident along Leeward Highway.  

On arrival, Traffic Enforcement Unit officers observed three vehicles with extensive damages. A toddler, her mother and two other family members sustained injuries. 

Information received indicated a fifth vehicle was involved. However, the driver left the scene.  Medical personnel arrived at the scene and rendered assistance.  

The victims were rushed to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre and treated for several injuries sustained from the incident.  

The Traffic Enforcement Unit is continuing investigations into the circumstances.
