Marine Branch officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force yesterday (July 28th) rescued three tourists.
At around 5 p.m., officers were conducting a routine patrol in the vicinity of Split Rock, when officers onboard the Sea Pursuit observed three kayaks within the inner banks near Turtle Rock.
Due to the rough seas and strong winds, the officers noticed that one of the kayaks with a lone female onboard was experiencing difficulty paddling back to shore.
Assistance was rendered to the female, who was transported to a nearby villa.
The officers returned to the same area and rescued two other females.
