THE ROYAL TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS POLICE FORCE

Service with Pride and Integrity

For Emergency, Call 9-1-1

On Thursday, February 13th, 2020, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force held its first Divisional (B) Parade for 2020 at the Ethel Ingham Centre. At 7:00 a.m., close to 80 Police Officers including Assistant Superintendents and various sections turned out for the parade that included a formal inspection of uniforms and drills under the command of newly appointed Divisional Commander B- Assistant Superintendent of Police, Dwight Gardiner.

Assistant Superintendent Gardiner said, “This was something we have done in the past and are happy to re-introduce this year. There are tremendous benefits to these monthly parades. Inspections and drills are fundamental to Policing and even though these elements may seem customary, it is important to master drills and the process that goes into getting a uniform ready for inspection”.

Gardiner added, “Overall, we want to reinforce standards and instil discipline and a sense of pride while building camaraderie through friendly competition”.

Constable Tashauna Wilson, Sergeant Winyfer Rodriguez and Constable Philippe Jean were recognized for “Best Turn Out on Parade”.

During the parade, the award for Officer of the Month – Division B was presented to Constable Tina Barnett. Sergeant Felix Brown was also presented with a plaque for 30 years of service within the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force. He retires in March.
