Career day at school offers students the opportunity to experience the different jobs available to them and aids them in discovering what type of job they want in life and helps them plan for their future.
Sergeant Winston Grant and Public Relations Officer Kevin Clarke visited the Champions for Christ International School of Excellence yesterday (Tuesday 5th April 2016) to make a presentation to the entire school body.
Both officers gave the students an extensive explanation regarding the police force. The presentation consisted of the police force requirements and possibilities of growing within the organization.
“It is always a pleasure to be in the midst of children to speak to them about the various aspects of policing.” Said PRO Kevin Clarke. “I reminded them that while they’re still young and in school, now is the time for them to look at the various careers out there and begin to think about what they are more interested in.”
DARE program officer Sergeant Winston Grant remind the students on the effects of illegal drugs and how it can damage their life and keep them away of heading towards their career goals. At the end of his presentation, he sang them a song.
The students were quite impressed and enthusiastic about the presentation. They were allowed to ask questions at the end.
