As of 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12th, 2020, search operation crews led by the Marine  Branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force were unable to locate 45-year-old  Claudin Noel who reportedly left the Turtle Cove Marina in a 2020 Ribcraft around 9:00 a.m. on  Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 and was headed to the North West Point area, but never arrived.

A full search operation was established and led by the Marine Branch Officers of the Royal Turks  and Caicos Islands Police Force onboard M/V Sea Pursuit, along with the United States Coast  Guard who provided aerial view support. Two private vessels were also a part of the search  operation.

The operation continued on November 12th, 2020 with Marine Branch Officials onboard M/V  Sea Guardian where a second search was conducted in the inshore waters, North West of  Providenciales.

Commissioner Trevor Botting said, “My thoughts and prayers are with the family and colleagues  of Mr Noel during this difficult time. We must ensure the safety of all residents and search  operations are undertaken in circumstances like this. We want to remain hopeful that we will  locate Mr Noel today, despite weather conditions. I would like to use this opportunity to express  thanks to my Marine Branch Officers for the continuous great work, to our partners, the United  States Coast Guard for their support, also to the owners of the private vessels and volunteers  for doing their part. Let us remain hopeful and pray that Mr Noel returns home safe today.”

A third attempt to locate the 45-year-old man continues today, Friday, November 13th, 2020. An update will be provided, as the operation progresses.
