Motor Vehicle Safety Tips

1. Remove all valuables such as hand bags, cash, computers and cell phones when not occupying the vehicle

2. Ensure your vehicle is properly locked before leaving it

3. Park your vehicle in a high traffic or high pedestrian area

4. Install a car alarm system

5. Install a GPS tracking device in the event your vehicle is stolen. Choose one with an immobilizer

6. Always remove your ignition keys even when exiting your vehicle for a short period

7. Do not pick up strangers while driving  at night especially if you are a female

8. Do not drink before or while driving

9. Do not exceed the speed limit

10. Lock your vehicle when paying for fuel

11. Always park your vehicle in well lit area at night

12. If you have valuables in your vehicle and no means of securing them other than   inside, you should place them in the trunk especially  if the vehicle is being left unattended
