LUKINSON LEGER, 23, of West Road, Grand Turk, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2023 murder of SEVANO WILSON Jr.  

However, he will be required to serve 22 years, six months, and 21 days before becoming eligible for release from the prison system. The ruling was delivered today at the Grand Turk  Supreme Court. 

Leger was found guilty of murdering 21-year-old Wilson Jr. on March 4, 2025. 

The victim was fatally injured on the evening of September 29, 2023, during a celebratory event at Governor’s Beach in Grand Turk. Despite efforts by officers at the scene to rush Mr. Wilson to the Cockburn Town Medical Centre, he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. 

Following a thorough investigation, Leger was charged with murder on October 4, 2023, after consultation with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. 

This case has been challenging, but our officers have remained committed to seeking justice.
