At around 5:16 p.m., on November 23rd, 2024, the Police Control Room received a report of an accident involving a cyclist and a motor vehicle.
Emergency Medical Technicians and officers of the Grand Turk Police Station responded to the report near IGA.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male identified as OMAR WILLIAMS being administered CPR.
Despite efforts to resuscitate Mr Williams, he succumbed to injuries sustained.
Superintendent (Division A) Willet Harvey said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the relatives and friends of the deceased. On behalf of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, we extend our condolences to you. May God provide the strength needed during this difficult period”.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of this incident.
