JIMMY TOUSSAINT of North Back Salina Grand Turk has been charged under the Prisons Ordinance with the offence of introducing Prohibited Articles.
Toussaint, 20, was charged on 17th March 2025 and was granted $1500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on 03rd April 2025.
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, during a visit to H.M. Prison—Home of the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation in Grand Turk—prison officers had cause to search items brought in by a male.
It is alleged that during checks, contraband was found hidden inside food destined for an inmate. Officers of the RT&CIPF promptly responded, and the suspect was arrested on suspicion.
