Commissioner of Police, Trevor Botting, will like to again remind the population of the need to balance responsibility with the constitutionally enshrined freedom of expression.
Commissioner Botting’s reminder comes on the heels of various social media posts against a member of the TCI Regiment making serious allegations. Commissioner Botting says: “I condemn completely the dissemination of fake news that is clearly malicious and intending to create harm to personal reputations. There was an accidental incident involving a firearm by a member of the TCI Regiment whilst on duty during an unloading process. There were no injuries and the matter is now under investigation by the Regiment.”
