The homicide detectives from the Serious Crime Unit have identified the victim of yesterday’s homicide in Blue Hills.
The identity of the 34-year-old male victim is being withheld until all available family members have been notified. The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force extends its condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased was walking along Ralph Close when several gunshots were heard. Calls were made to the Police Control Room, and several units, including medical personnel, were dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed the victim on the ground, motionless, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
We have reason to believe that another man, identified as ‘Alexi’, who is estimated to be in his thirties, may have sustained serious injuries during the incident.
