Two firearm-related incidents that occurred over the weekend are currently engaging the attention of investigators from the Serious Crime Unit. 

On February 15, at approximately 4:02 pm, the Police Control Room received a report of a vehicle ablaze near a residence in Dock Yard. 

Units were promptly dispatched, and officers discovered a Toyota Vitz car fully engulfed in flames with multiple bullet holes. A further examination of the scene was conducted. 

In a separate incident, on February 14, 2025, at approximately 7:16 pm, officers responded to reports of robbery and wounding in Kew Town. 

A male victim in his 40s arrived at Cheshire Hall Medical Centre with a gunshot wound to his neck. Preliminary investigations revealed that a lone gunman approached the victim at a bar in  Kew Town and announced a robbery. 

The victim resisted and began struggling with the armed suspect, resulting in the victim being shot. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
