Four individuals are in police custody following a coordinated pre-dawn operation targeting suspects linked to multiple firearm-related offences, including murders and armed robberies.
The men, aged 18, 18, 21, and 22, were apprehended early this morning (February 13) in Five Cays, Providenciales.
The operation involved the TCI Regiment, the TCI Border Force, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) combined efforts.
Acting Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey said that, based on intelligence, the persons of interest have been on the RT&CIPF radar for some time. They are believed to be connected to a series of violent incidents that have threatened community safety.

“A joint contingent of law enforcement descended into Five Cays shortly after 1 a.m. Officers took up strategic locations around the perimeter of the individuals’ homes. One person attempted to evade officers by concealing himself in nearby bushes but was caught.
“The operation was supported by aerial surveillance, courtesy of two United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) helicopters, providing real-time ground forces updates. I know the helicopters caused a bit of a disturbance to residents. Still, I want to assure you that we will use all available assets to ensure their safety and security while we hunt criminals lurking within communities.
“To the persons knowingly harbouring and concealing the ilk of organised criminals, you will not be treated as an innocent. You are just as culpable; under the Anti-Gang Ordinance (2022), it is an offence.”
Reaffirming the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force’s commitment to public safety, Commissioner Bailey said, “To criminals, no stone will be left unturned; no crevice will go
unchecked until you are found and brought before the judicial system. I will relentlessly ensure you are caught when I enter your domain.”
