Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Serious Crime Unit are actively investigating a suspected homicide in Five Cays.
Head of Crime, Safeguarding, Public Protection, and Intelligence Superintendent Dean Holden said, “Shortly after 2 p.m., our Police Control Room received a call for assistance on Robinson Street.
“Our officers, along with medical personnel, were dispatched and, upon entering the given residence, discovered the lifeless body of a female with what appeared to be stab wounds. Based on preliminary investigations, a male suspect has been arrested.
“The victim has been identified as Elva Talbot, who, from all indications, was a pillar of strength and devotion within the Five Cays community. On behalf of the RT&CIPF, I extend condolences to Ms Talbot’s relatives and friends. Please be assured the RT&CIPF is doing everything possible to bring the perpetrator (s) to justice”.
The RT&CIPF is asking members of the public to assist with this investigation.
