The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) is investigating reports of three armed robberies in the Blue Hills and Leeward Highway area between Saturday, 11th, and Sunday, January 12th 2025.
At around 7:03 pm yesterday, while on patrol along the Millennium Highway area, officers encountered a victim who reported being robbed by six armed males. The area was cornered off, and a search for the suspects ensued.
Shortly after, at around 8:30 pm, the Police Command Centre received a report of a robbery in Sanke Hill, Blue Hills. Reports indicate that a male was robbed at gunpoint by five armed suspects who entered his residence and announced a hold-up. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown black vehicle.
On Saturday, January 11th 2025, shortly after 3.30 pm, a male victim reported that he was robbed of his black Honda Fit rental near Grant’s Gas Station on Millennium Highway. Two armed males dressed in black forced him out of the vehicle at gunpoint and fled.
The suspects later crashed the stolen vehicle on Tumpa Avenue, Blue Hills, and fled the scene. A firearm and ammunition were recovered from the vehicle, along with a facemask.
The RTCIPF has increased patrols in the Blue Hills area and assures the public that these matters are being thoroughly investigated. We ask that individuals be aware of their environment and urge you to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
