The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is urging Thompson Cove, Providenciales residents, to remain vigilant following a recent series of residential burglaries.
Between October 25th and November 14th, 2024, multiple break-ins occurred along Canal and Beach Streets in Thompson Cove, with suspects gaining entry through unsecured or forced entry points.
∙ Incident 1: On October 20th, a resident of Thompson Cove reported a break-in after discovering, at 6:30 a.m., that entry was gained through a window. The residence had last been secured on the evening of October 19th.
∙ Incident 2: On October 26th, another resident reported that their home had been forcibly entered. The resident returned home to find both front and back doors open, a broken bathroom window, and the family dog missing.
∙ Incident 3: On October 30th, a homeowner reported an early-morning burglary, noting that the suspect accessed the home through a screened porch. Missing items included alcohol and cushion covers.
∙ Incident 4: On November 14th, the Police Control Room received a report that a male was attempting to enter a premises through a window. Officers arrived at the scene, but the suspect had already escaped with personal items belonging to the homeowner.

The RTCIPF asks the public to notify the closest police station, contact 911, the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to anonymously provide any information on illegal activities.
