911 Emergency Communication Centre (ECC) was launched in 2010 to answer all calls for police, medical, and fire assistance on all Islands within the TCI. Marine incidents are processed as well. 911 Officers are trained to international standards to ask questions that answer pertinent questions of what is happening on the scene of an incident that determines who and what response is required. They are also trained to provide pre-arrival life-saving interventions such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation until responders arrive on the scene. The 911 ECC is staffed 24 hours per day, every day of the year.
